> Palex Medical participated on 10th International Symposium on Endovascular Therapeutics

The International Symposium on Endovascular Therapeutics (SITE) - was held from 9th to 11th May at Palau de Congressos de Catalunya (Barcelona)
Around 300 attendees, both national and international, participated this year. Program included a series of scientific sessions dedicated to revising future diagnostic technologies and therapies, the current news in lower limb revascularization, controversies in endovascular treatment of abdominal and thoracic aorta, visceral vessels and supra-aortic trunks.
Palex was present with a booth where attendees were able to try the Hansen Medical‘s Magellan robotic endovascular surgery simulator, as well as getting information about division devices, emphasizing on Aorfix abdominal stent graft, from our partner Lombard Medical.
Palex also organized a round table through endovascualr.tv platform, the AORFIX Meeting Point, about the use of Aorfix on challenging anatomies and the recent approval from the FDA as the only stent graft licensed for AAA on neck angulations of up to 90. The following speakers participated on the discussion:
- Dr. Nilo Mosquera (Hospital de Ourense)
- Dr. Vicent Riambau (Hospital Clínic de Barcelona)
- Dr. Eduardo Ros (Hospital San Cecílio de Granada)
- Dr. Jörg Tessarek (Hospital Lingen, Alemania)
Dr. Mosquera made a speech about Pythagoras trial, that was the basis for obtaining FDA approval for neck angulations of up to 90º, whereas Dr.Riambau added that Aorfix is also as good for less angulated cases and could be used during learning process for further application in higher angulations.
