Last week from March 27 to 29, was held in Barcelona the 24th edition of the annual Congress of the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP).
The Clinical Care Division was with Equashield's professional and engineers team in the European launch of the first automated transfer robot for dangerous drugs with the use of closed system.
During the three days of the congress, different demonstrations were held, attended by managers, heads of services, pharmacists, technicians and nurses from a wide variety of hospitals in different countries interested in knowing how the new Equashield Pro robot works.
The assistants remained expectant to the explanations, being able to know the difference with the traditional robots that use needles and syringes in the preparation of dangerous drugs, which leads to spills, splashes and release of vapors and aerosols. Equashield Pro is an option of progress using a closed system in the automation of transfer of dangerous drugs guaranteeing the highest performance in the industry when preparing specific doses for the patient and a protection of medication errors during the preparation through the use of a photographic and gravimetric system of dose verification.
The attendance of more than 1.000 people during the duration of the congress and the interest shown by all the attendees was a success.
