On March 27th the “IV Annual Meeting of Hip Surgery in Young Adult” took place in the new “Hospital Infanta Leonor” of Madrid, organized by Dr. Oliver Marín.

On March 27th the “IV Annual Meeting of Hip Surgery in Young Adult” took place in the new “Hospital Infanta Leonor” of Madrid, organized by Dr. Oliver Marín. With occasion of the course there was a scientific agreement of cooperation between the hospitals “ANCA-Clinic for Hip Surgery” of Ghent (Belgium), “The Ottawa Hospital” of Ontario (Canada), “Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital Oxford” (UK) and “Hospital Infanta Leonor” of Madrid (Spain) under the sponsorship of Palex Medical and Wright Medical Technologies. There were surgeons of international prestige, like Dr. Paul Beaule (Canada) and Dr. Koen De Smet (Belgium), both world-wide reference surgeons in hip pathology of young adult.

 

Photography: Dr. Oliver Marín with the collaborating surgeons. These surgeons, besides to present several communications, were the live surgery moderators. During the course, they directed a workshop in which more than 30 Spanish surgeons, guided by the doctors above-mentioned, were instructed in use of the instrumentation system “Lollipops” for CONSERVE® Hip Resurfacing like a differential method for an adapted trim of the femoral component.
